Drive sign-ups for new app Train Effective founded by Nick Humphries and launched with business partner Rio Ferdinand

The distraction

Train Effective is the UK’s first football training platform to feature mind and body training plans from UEFA licenced football coaches.

It is designed to help any aspiring footballer improve their physical, technical, mental and tactical training skills.

In an extremely crowded market for apps, our challenge was two-fold:

  • How can we strategically drive awareness and interest for the app online with a key football audience?
  • How can we utilise Rio Ferdinand’s profile to drive coverage and conversation?

How did we make our audience care?

We strategically identified and collaborated with a variety of high-reach sport content publishers.

All organic and non-paid for, in exchange for the time with Rio we maximised a series of suitable creatives to help drive organic awareness, conversation and backlinks for Train Effective.
