Fever Says XOXO to Gossip Girl
It’s a sad time for Gossip Girl fans as the friends and frenemies we’ve all grown to love (and sometimes, hate!) said ‘XOXO’ for one last time as Gossip Girl: The Complete Season 6 was released on DVD this week.
For those of you not familiar with the show, Gossip Girl is based around the premise of a secret blogger called (you guessed it) Gossip Girl. It worked like this: the fabulous teen socialites of New York texted Gossip Girl with any scandal, secret stories or gossip they knew, and then Gossip Girl would post it live on her blog for the entire world to see. Cue, hours of viewing pleasure!
Ever since Gossip Girl hit our TV screens in 2008, the blogging world went supernova. So, for the finale campaign, we decided to celebrate the ever growing blogging boom, by reaching out to a number of popular fashion blogs in the UK with Gossip Girl content.
We secured a feature on The Hi Fashion Site highlighting some of the most iconic outfits from across the six seasons; a Blair vs Serena “fash off” with Fashionista Barbie blog; our best ‘fashion moments’ on 3 Bad Mice and worked with the very lovely author (and wife of Tom from McFly), Giovanna Fletcher on a blog on Giovanna’s World – see Gi’s favourite moments, outfits and characters from all six seasons.
