Award Season Starts Again . . .
The black tie outfits have been dusted down for another year and we’re already on a roll with a win and some great nominations on the industry award circuit…
We’ve just about caught our breath after ending last week on a high, with the news that EE with Nelson Bostock Group and M&C Saatchi PR won the Diamond Sabre Award for Superior Achievement in Brand Building for the launch of EE last year. The campaign also came away as a Finalist at the CIPR Excellence Awards on Monday.
It’s nearly nine months since we officially launched the EE brand and the UK’s first 4G network at the Science Museum to dozens of reporters. We saw coverage appear in every shape and form, with broadcast pieces, national and regional press, and of course consumer tech titles all covering the news. That was just the first part of a three stage plan, which culminated in a party for 500 people at Viagra Battersea Power Station. The team has achieved some great results, and we were very proud to be part of the launch; and it’s always great to get this type of industry accolade.
Our international work for HTC was also up for a gong at the CIPR Excellence Awards, the HTC Urban Ambassadors campaign was created to drive trial and engagement around the launch of the HTC One X. It saw 26 ‘Urban Ambassadors’ across eight markets creating and curating compelling content that depicted their urban lives. They were asked to narrate their stories through video, stills and text then share through social media, thereby inspiring the HTC audience as it was played out through editorial, digital and social channels.
We came away finalists for this on Monday, which meant we spent the rest of the evening celebrating and we have our fingers crossed for the other award events that this campaign has also been nominated at. Watch this space!
