Canon Gets Into The Festival Spirit
Last week, the Canon UK team and 27 consumer tech, lifestyle, music and photography press spent a creative afternoon taking Canon’s Spring Collection out for a spin on the music circuit with a masterclass in festival and music photography.
Press were invited to legendary music venue Dingwalls in the heart of Camden Market to experience an afternoon of shooting live music with British/Irish folk band Mad Dog Mcrea. Whilst the band were showcasing their particular brand of jiggery folkery, journalists were let loose with the latest Canon offerings and were offered guidance on how to capture iconic live music shots in different shooting scenarios by music and fashion photographer Lee Kirby.
The event ended with a live gig from Mad Dog Mcrea where everyone got into the festival spirit, snapping the band live from our very own photographers pit! After seeing the end results we’re surprised any of the journalists stuck with their day jobs and didn’t run off to start careers in music photography.
We’ve seen some great coverage appear off the back of the event already including Photography Blog, with more lined up to come featuring hints and tips from Lee on how to capture the best festival photography this summer!
