PlayStation at Gamescom 2014
Last week we had the pleasure of heading to Cologne in Germany for Gamescom, the biggest videogame trade fair in the world – where both the industry and avid gamers get to trial the latest titles for themselves…
We managed to get down to the PlayStation press conference, where a host of new titles, game details and products were revealed, as well as the announcement of 10 million PS4 sales since it launched less than a year ago.
The show opened with trailers for upcoming titles like The Order 1886, Bloodborne and InFamous: Second Son DLC, and didn’t slow down from there. We were especially excited to see games like Tearaway Unfolded announced for the PS4, and Hideo Kojima reveal how a cardboard box becomes an invaluable weapon in Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain.
After the conference, we sat in on a Q&A session with a panel of developers such as Media Molecule and Evolution Studios – as well as Shuhei Yoshida, President of Sony Worldwide Studios – discussing the past present and future of games.
Until next year!!
