Can I get an Encore, do you want more?
The Toshiba team just finished hosting the final media event for the Encore – the Windows 8 tablet designed for productivity on the go…
You might’ve seen Toshiba’s ‘Look Closer. See More’ advert which explores the four worlds the Encore opens up to you (productivity, connectivity, gaming and music) and in recent weeks we’ve been hosting a series of workshops that explore these worlds in an engaging way, allowing media to ‘Look Closer, See More’ with the Encore (hey, that rhymes).
So we concluded our event trilogy by exploring the world of music at the iconic Abbey Road Studios – in the very studio that The Beetles, Pink Floyd, Kanye West and the Spice Girls made some magic. Could it get any better? Well, yes, because not only could we feel the untouched presence of some of the world’s biggest musical superstars, but we were joined by rising star Dan Croll to give us a master class in music production.
During the workshop we were treated to an super intimate live performance of Dan Croll’s song ‘From Nowhere’ which features on the Toshiba advert, we then got a taste of music production with an intro from studio technician Austen on how to mix via the Encore using Music Creator 6 software. As for the results, let’s just say we certainly had some future superstar ‘deejays’ on our hands!
