Earlier this week the Canon Europe team were busy launching a range of new products, and unveiling a whole new brand outlook, in Cologne at photokina 2014. After months of preparation the team hosted over 400 global journalists at a press conference to show off products such as the EOS 7D Mark II and PowerShot G7 X, while inviting the world to ‘Come and See’.

As well as creating and scripting a truly impressive conference, they followed it up with a touch and try cocktail event, giving journalists an immediate hands on experience. Guests were free to roam the space, riverside and opposite the iconic Kӧlner Dom, while professional photographers and Canon Ambassadors were on hand to guide shooting scenarios, using the German National Trampoline Team and Calcio Storico gladiators to bring the cameras to life. Meanwhile DJ Larse was supplying the music while food and drinks, including branded cocktails (“Come and See Cosmopolitan” anyone?), were served.

To top off the week, the team spent three days hosting press interviews with Canon’s top executives for over 50 media publications from Europe, the US and South America. A very busy and very successful week for team CIG.
