Canon prints Stylist in 24 hours
The Canon team scored some great coverage in this week’s very special edition of Stylist for the super sleek PIXMA printer.
This week’s issue was put together by the team in just 24 hours in a unique experiment where the editorial team created an issue of the weekly freemium in one day straight.
The Canon team had saved the day for editor Lisa Smosarski earlier in the month when her existing printer malfunctioned by offering her a loan of a shiny new Canon one, so the PIXMA was of course the printer of choice in the Stylist pop-up office in central London.
The team offered two printers and a technical support during the 24 hour period to ensure that everything ran smoothly. Despite hiccups with electricity generators, the issue was produced without a hitch, and the Stylist team even managed to stay awake for the whole 24 hour period! It was great to see the Canon PIXMA printer featured alongside other luxury brands including Jimmy Choo and Harrods.
As part of this the Fever team negotiated the PIXMA printer on the Style List within the special issue, as well as a thank you credit in the Editor’s Letter. You can see the coverage and more details about the 24 hour issue at this link: Stylist.co.uk . It was a great lesson in PR tactics and proves that building great media relationships can work wonders in securing coverage in sometimes hard to reach titles.
