Casting a spell with NOW TV and A Discovery of Witches
Witches, vampires and daemons, oh my!
This January saw the launch of Series Two of A Discovery of Witches, a fantastical drama available on NOW TV that follows the mysterious lives of a group of supernatural beings in Oxford. To celebrate the brand-new series, the Fever team has been channelling the spirits and working on a piece of witchy influencer activity.
Inspired by the twists and turns of the show, we recruited five influencers we identified as resonating with the audience we needed to target to be part of the NOW TV’s Reviewers Circle, with each of them posting a series of content to their channels engaging with their audience and theorising on the seasons myriad of mysteries. From enchanted books to Elizabethan costumes, our influencers each put their own creative spin on the brief, resulting in some out of this world posts and engagement.
The Reviewer’s Circle, consisting of Vegard Lysford, Cherry Wallis, Connie Glynn, Seamus Gorman and Aisha Carrington, posted on the day of the show launch, resulting in over 20,000 engagements in just under 24 hours and a campaign total of 51,772 likes and 799 comments.
Not only did we receive some fantastic social shares, but we also cast a spell with media by recruiting our very own real-life new age witch Aisha to conduct interviews with the likes of Glamour and Metro on what it means to be a witch in the modern age.
