Celebrating Dia de los Muertos with funnyhowflowersdothat.co.uk
Last week we were celebrating Dia de los Muertos with funnyhowflowersdothat.co.uk, sharing a DIY video that showed people how to get the look by creating flower crowns with fresh flowers.
funnyhowflowersdothat.co.uk wanted to show people that Dia de los Muertos is more than just a spooky look for Halloween, and really celebrate the role flowers play in Mexican spirituality during this special holiday. The very talented floral designer Kitty Grayson presented the how-to video, using hydrangeas, carnations, marigolds, helichrysum, heather, astrantia to create authentic flower crowns with a modern twist. The look was finished by Mia from The Gyspsy Shrine, who created a Day of the Dead makeup look to remember.
We shared the video on owned social media, while Kitty Grayson and London Evening Standard also shared it with their followers. Across all platforms, it has had nearly 100k views, the vast majority of which have been organic. To support the video our very own Dan Wong shot behind-the-scenes photography as well as some stunning portaitrature, which has been a huge hit on Instagram.
