Celebration Season is Underway as Awards Fever Hits!
Award season is well and truly underway in the PR calendar and it’s been a fun filled one for us so far.
Earlier this month we headed out to the Event Awards 2012 as our Only Fools and Horses 30th Anniversary Campaign was up for a gong for Best PR Event/Stunt. Off we trooped to the ceremony, held at the fabulous Roundhouse in Camden (amidst what was arguably the most miserable rainy night of the year, may we add) and picked up a HIGHLY COMMENDED for our ‘lovely jubbly’ campaign. Pipped to the post only by Paddy Power and the giant horse – well done Taylor Herring!
Next up was our very own awards extravaganza, THE BOSTOCKS. Yes, that’s right, our wonderful Mr Martin Bostock has an award ceremony named after his very self. Our annual shindig, this year hosted at the newly refurbed Vinopolis, was as fun, fabulous and heckle-filled as ever, as Nelson Bostock Group CEO, Lee Nugent, took to the stage to present this year’s winners.
Awards range from the Best Campaigns and Extra Mile of the Year, to the sillier Cock-up and Party Animal of the Year categories i.e. those we’ll share with you and those we won’t!
Team Fever came away with a number of the coveted BOSTOCKS, picking up a gong for Campaign of the Year for the T-Mobile Full Monty launch, sharing an award with Things With Wings for best social campaign for Toshiba’s sponsorship of The The Dark Knight Rises and Ms Melissa Robinson for Going the Extra Mile in all she does. The ceremony culminates in Achievement of the Year which was jointly won this year by our own Feverette, Gemma and Nelson Bostock’s lovely Louisa – congrats to all. After the ceremony we all went out for yummy dinner and drunk lots of champers, naturally!
Next up on the calendar is the PR Week Awards for which we’re nominated again for Only Fools and Horses in the category of Best Consumer PR Campaign, alongside AMEX Room for Thought for best International Campaign. Followed by more nominations at the PRCAs next month.
