Fever’s Friday Five
SOMETHING THAT CAUGHT OUR EYE
The worlds of cars and fashion often collide, and the latest brand to translate inspiration from runways to roads is Rolls-Royce. Wraith – Inspired by Fashion is a bespoke model created from color palettes, materials and techniques used in the world of high fashion. The car debuted in New York City during NYCxDesign and is the first time ever the automaker has introduced a new vehicle outside an auto show. Unfortunately for us this super-model doesn’t get out of the garage for less than £350,000.
TWEET OF THE WEEK
McQueen is a play that depicts the life of fashion icon Alexander McQueen. Premiered this week, it is described as ‘a beautiful and haunting voyage into the visionary imagination and dark dream world of Alexander McQueen’. Tickets are selling fast, you can buy them here.
WHAT’S TRENDING
As festival season draws closer, one lucky Feverette escaped to the Cornish Coast for the Fowey Festival. This landscape has inspired writers including Thomas Hardy and Daphne du Maurier. The gorgeous sunshine meant the festival felt more like the BBC’s adaptation of sun-soaked Poldark than its rather less successful dark-and-moody Jamaica Inn. The team will be rereading literary classics for weeks to come…
WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO
This week Fever Towers hosted a PRCA Masterclass that looked back at two of the year’s most memorable campaigns: Ogilvy’s ‘Burger that will change the world’, and our very own ‘Launch of the PlayStation 4’. Fever’s Joint MD Bruce shared insights into what made the campaign so successful, which included running targeted creative sessions and never forgetting the importance of traditional media relations.
