Here’s to Creativity: PHUNK Limited Edition HTC One (M8)
It’s been a busy few weeks for the HTC Global team at Fever who have been working away with design power house HTC and Singapore-based art and design collective, PHUNK – who joined forces to unveil a limited edition HTC One (M8) handset. The partnership marks the start of HTC’s 2014 ‘Here’s to Creativity’ limited edition initiative, and comes hot on the heels of HTC’s 2013 collaboration with British Fashion designer David Koma.
The launch of the PHUNK campaign involved working with PHUNK’s talented founders to develop one-of-a-kind artwork that would grace the back of the HTC One (M8) handset. An exploration of the theme of ‘Wonderment,’ PHUNK’s design truly makes the handset’s metal unibody stand-out from the smartphone crowd, with elements that are reflective of the art & design collective’s interpretation of culture and the world around them. The artwork also provides a sneak preview of the collective’s upcoming exhibition, which is set to take place throughout Asia in 2014 in celebration of their 20th year in the industry.
From idea generation, to toolkit development, and content creation, the HTC Global team at Fever pulled out all the stops to make this campaign a true global success. Our friends at Things of Wings were even lucky enough to make a trip over to Singapore for a two day shoot with the lovely team at PHUNK.
The story has gone down a treat, with coverage already featured in over 200 online sites throughout the world including; Pocket-lint, The Malay Mail Online and Stuff TV.
