Hold the front page…

It’s not often in your PR career that you make front page news, well the EE team did just that last week as we launched a new range of entry-level price plans, as well as the UK’s lowest price 4G smartphone.

As the UK’s biggest, fastest and most reliable network, customers can now get a range of 24 month entry-level 4G handset plans which includes the option of a free 4G handset, 500MB of mobile data and an inclusive minutes and texts allowance, for just £13.99 per month – that’s less than the cost of a pint of milk a day! And that simple analogy helped media understand just what a great package EE offers, getting great cut through in the resulting coverage. Simple but effective.

We also launched the EE Kestrel, which offers the specs traditionally associated with a more expensive handset – it’s out at the end of this month so watch this space.

After a busy week of targeted pre-briefings, research commissioning and a monster media sell-in – we decided to put our feet up with a cuppa…erm…milk.

You can read more about it on Metro, Mail Online, Telegraph, Guardian, Daily Star, as well as others.
