HTC Celebrates Its Music Partnership with MOBO
This week saw some of the HTC team head up to Liverpool for the annual MOBO Awards. HTC recently announced its partnership with MOBO, which not only provides a platform to engage and entertain music lovers with amazing experiences, but also an opportunity to support those looking to make a career in the industry. HTC and MOBO Organisation have a shared ambition to inspire those interested in every part of music business – whether it’s behind the scenes as a producer or engineer, as an artist or simply someone who enjoys live and recorded music. It’s a 3 year partnership so we headed to the awards as one of our first pieces of sponsorship activation…
We were manning the green room which was an HTC lounge where the guest presenters like Liverpool gals Rebecca Ferguson and Chelsea Healey and award winners including Plan B could chill out before the show started and after they had come off stage. With a live stream into the show in the arena, plenty of drinks and a plethora of cakes and snacks – the celebrities were able to also trial out the HTC handsets and experience functionalities such as media link that links the handset up onto your TV screen enabling you to showcase photos, play games and stream movies…
HTC also had a presence in the retreat where performers, presenters and celebrity guests were ushered through to take their pick of the goodies on offer. Joe was manning the HTC area and was rubbing shoulders with the likes of Emeli Sande, JLS and Stooshe.
We also had an HTC video crew and photographer on the red carpet and in the media room – grabbing snaps and interviews with all the stars as they went through. Highlights had to be meeting the legendary Dionne Warwick, Emeli Sande as well as winner of the best newcomer award (in association with HTC) the gorgeous Rita Ora – we love that dress!
It was a long day with plenty of sore feet from all the running around … but we had a great time and we’re all looking forward to working on this project over the next year and beyond…
