Inspiration Hunting
This week we escaped W2 and headed over to E1 for a bit of team bonding and inspiration gathering together. Armed with cans of G&T (we’re a very sophisticated bunch here), we visited Tuk Store where we were introduced to an eclectic mix of products such as must-have fashion pieces, beautiful photography and quirky pieces such as the alternative oyster card holder made from wood that our very own style guru Ranj snapped up.
Not only is it a great showcase for designers and photographers alike – it has a great feel good factor too – all the profits fund qualified complementary healthcare therapists to help treat individuals with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.
Next on our must-see list was the ICA ART DRIVE! BMW ART CAR COLLECTION at Great Eastern Car Park (it’s only open for two weeks and closes this Saturday) so get yourself down there if you want to see some jaw-dropping car art! Since 1975, a range of artists have been using BMWs as their canvases for expressing their artistic styles. Some of the greatest names in contemporary art are included in this 17-piece collection – we marvelled at the creations of Andy Warhol, David Hockney, Jeff Koons and Roy Lichtenstein, to name but a few.
Having snapped away and finished our drinks supply we then headed over to Columbia Road to re-fuel on tapas and Picpoul… read about that in our blog tomorrow!
