It’s About Time for a second chance first date
We’ve been busy working on the DVD release, About Time, from rom-com mastermind, Richard Curtis. The story follows Tim (Domhnall Gleeson) who has the ability to travel in time, meaning he can revisit any moment in his life to try things differently until he gets them perfectly right. He uses this little trick for his first date with sweetheart Mary (Rachel McAdams).
Taking on the theme of the film and tapping into the dating trend, we carried out research to find out about the UK’s dating habits. We revealed that the UK is a second chance nation with almost a third of Brits admitting they would do their first date differently with their current partner if given the chance.
Off the back of the results, we teamed up with fun dating website DoingSomething.co.uk to offer Brits the chance to win a spectacular first date experience so they can re-attempt that first date that just didn’t go to plan.
The media have fallen in love with the stats, with coverage secured on Mail Online, Daily Star, Daily Mail and Metro. Even This Morning couldn’t stop talking about it. They put the stats to their viewers, choosing #datingdisasters as their daily topic for The Hub.
