Lights, Camera, Action! HTC Media Masterclass Captures a Fashion Moment
In the run up to the coveted catwalk month of September, and with the rising trend for using video apps such as Vine and Instagram Video at fashion events, we picked the perfect moment to create a ‘Moving Image Masterclass’ showcasing the premium camera and video capabilities of the HTC One Red. Teaming up with international fashion photographer Miss Aniela, we hosted an exclusive event for top lifestyle media and bloggers at the incredible MC Motors (home of recent music videos by the likes of Rihanna) which created a dynamic backdrop to demonstrate expert tips for capturing the best live content and maximising those sought-after seats at Fashion Week around the world.
To illustrate the best ways for style conscious snappers to make use of the HTC One’s camera and HTC Zoe – a function that automatically captures a 3-second video and 20 high res stills so users never miss out on any of the action – we worked together with Miss Aniela to curate two fashion shoot experiences. One an Autumnal street theme to reflect street style snapping fashionistas in the lead up to the new season’s trends, and a stunning gothic couture set to really test out the camera’s low light capabilities and to capture those not-to-be-missed runway moments. Perfect for those dramatic, theatrical fashion shows! Miss Aneila’s top tips included how use to light creatively; the importance of context and capturing emotion; and how to add impact by shooting from a variety of angles.
We secured a stellar line up of attendees with Grazia Daily, Glamour Online, Company Online, Cosmopolitan Online, Marie Claire and Fashionista Barbie – all of whom have also been equipped with HTC One Reds that they can take to Fashion Week – so they can put Miss Aniela’s top tip to use and make sure they don’t miss a moment from the FROW. We have already ramped up over 800,000 Twitter impressions for #HTCStyleMoves, more than 250 likes on Facebook and around 500 likes on Instagram. Our first piece of in-depth event coverage comes from Cosmopolitan with more to come. Watch this space and check out some of Miss Aniela’s Video Highlights.
