Make Way for Her Royal Highness, Queen Louie Spence
To celebrate the launch of T-Mobile’s new Royal Jubilee TV ad, the Fever team enlisted the help of Dancing on Ice judge and star of the T-Mobile advert, Louie Spence, to recreate iconic images of the Queen throughout the ages.
The photoshoot saw Louie transform into her Majesty with surprising ease, with his look being completed by two wigs and plenty of powder to tone down his signature tan. Also at the shoot were three playful corgies, and enough jewels and pearls to rival the Tower of London!
The final shots proved Louie’s Royal worth by being almost identical to the original images, and in Louie’s own words “I absolutely loved doing the shoot and the T-Mobile TV ad – it was great fun. I’m sure I’ve done her Majesty proud. Everyone knows that I make a fabulous Queen, so there really wasn’t any one else for the job”.
The images went down a storm with the press, leading to a raft of fantastic coverage including a half page in The Sun’s TV Biz section, a full page piece in Reveal magazine that includes gossip from a shoot insider, as well as great quarter-page pieces in both Best and Closer magazines. We also secured some brilliant online pieces on Digital Spy, Yahoo! omg! and Closer Online to name but a few – and there’s still more coverage to come. The team also set up an exclusive consumer weekly interview with New! magazine, which revealed that if Louie were Queen, he would wear hotpants and mini skirts…!
In addition to all of this amazing coverage, fans took to Twitter to express how much they loved the images, with even Louie Spence himself getting in on the act!
