Our favourite kinda box set
Chocolate lover or not, you’ll have yourselves drooling over our latest Sky Box Sets collaboration. Our sweetest campaign yet, we partnered with master chocolatier Paul A Young to create the first ever TV themed box of chocolates (and our favourite kinda box set) – The Ultimate Chocolate Box Set.
After numerous chocolate tasting sessions (the struggle is real), we worked with Paul to create a box of nine deliciously handcrafted chocolates inspired by the Addictively Good shows available on Sky Box Sets, including The Walking Dead, Mad Men, The Affair, Broadchurch, 24, Fortitude, Penny Dreadful and Nashville. The chocolates were then sold in all of Paul A Young’s stores, with proceeds going to the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB).
The journey began with Paul cracking on with some “research” (watching more than 100 hours of Sky Box Sets – again the struggle, the struggle), getting under the skin of each show so he could bring them to life in confectionary form. Next, the award-winning chocolatier headed to his kitchen in Soho, where he spent over 300 man hours creating the entire chocolate box, taste testing every creation and crafting the final recipes, ensuring each one represented the essence of the show’s storyline both through flavour and design.
From a bourbon and smoky paprika filled Mad Men chocolate, to a stamina-inducing coffee bean, race against ‘thyme’ creation for 24, and a salt water ganache and clotted cream truffle that transports you to the seaside of Broadchurch, the limited edition chocs aimed to tantalise taste buds and provide a heightened viewing experience. Check out more of the flavour combinations here.
For months ahead of launch, Fever’s press office team were hard at work selling in the chocolate boxes, securing a delicious array of coverage across long lead glossy magazines, national supplements and consumer lifestyle outlets including monthly food bible Delicious, Sunday Times Style, Metro online, Fabulous, NOW magazine, Heat Magazine and Poppy Loves, all sugar coated with Sky Box Sets information.
To celebrate the chocolates hitting the shelves on 11th July, we invited media and lifestyle influencers to a private tasting. The session allowed guests to meet with the chocolate alchemist himself in his kitchen and discover the inspiration behind the range, whilst also practicing the art of chocolate making. Believe us it’s not easy.
Some may call us PR gurus, social ninjas and marketing wizards (NOTE FROM EDITOR: nobody calls you that), but we’ll definitely be adding professional chocolatier to our CV’s.
