Stars in Their Eyes…

The Amazon team like to shoot for the stars and 2012 has been no exception. Brian Cox was the name on everyone’s lips in January, following the huge popularity of his three-part series ‘Stargazing Live’. As his popularity grew, the team spotted the sales of telescopes rising 500% on and set to work on a story.

And so the term ‘The Brian Cox Effect’ was born. The Amazon team called all of their media contacts and pitched the rock star scientist’s influence on British hobbies  and the results speak for themselves!  

We have generated 17 pieces of national coverage so far, including The Sun, The Telegraph, Daily Express, Daily Star, The Guardian , Daily Mail  and I, as well as a whole host of consumer and national onlines.

Now, who said science wasn’t sexy?
