Stretch and Stream
Two years, four Golden Globes and eight Emmy award wins later, the feverishly anticipated second season of Big Little Lies has finally returned to our screens!
To launch the new series, NOW TV challenged us to host an exclusive screening with a difference… and so #StretchandStream was born. Our event transported guests – including Vogue, Independent, Bustle, Radio Times Metro, Stylist and Culture Whisper – to Monterey, California, the setting of the show, where they got to try out the latest US fitness trend, Nia, which was made famous by the show, thanks to Bonnie (that’s Zoe Kravtiz BTW).What is Nia you ask? Well it blends martial arts, dance and spiritual self-healing in a 45-minute high-powered, synergistic workout. Think a lot of moving from side-to-side, intense breathing, with a couple of dance moves for good measure too.
After the class, guests were treated to a fine glass of Californian wine and a poke bowl, before getting comfy to watch the very first episode, ahead of it premiering tonight.
Everyone loved the episode, and we’ve already seen some amazing reviews over the weekend. Lots of attendees people shared their fave bits from the workout on social too, and we’ve been inundated with requests to learn more about Nia!
Want to know if the ‘Monterey Five’ get away with it? Find out on Monday’s at 9pm, with a NOW TV Entertainment Pass.
