Sunday Brunching with Liz Earle
Yesterday we headed off with trusted beauty and wellbeing guru Liz Earle to Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch studios. Liz was there to share a couple of her health bursting juice recipes to help get your New Year kick started in the right way. If, like us, you overindulged in mince pies and mulled wine last month, try out some of these this week…
Super Green
Ingredients:
- 1 apple
- 2 carrots
- 3cm piece ginger root, unpeeled
- 1 beetroot
- 1 sprig fresh mint, leaves only
- 1 slice lemon, to serve (optional)Method
Juice all the ingredients. When juicing herbs or leaves sandwich them between chunks of apple, carrot or beetroot to help flush them through the juice. Serve poured over ice with a wedge of pineapple for decoration
Beety Energiser
Ingredients:
- 1 apple
- 2 carrots
- 3cm piece ginger root, unpeeled
- 1 beetroot
- 1 sprig fresh mint, leaves only
- 1 slice lemon, to serve (optional)Method:
Juice all the ingredients and serve with a slice of lemon
Gazpacho Juice
Ingredients:
- 1 red pepper , seeds removed
- 1 tomato
- 1/2 cucumber
- 1 garlic clove (optional)
- 1 small handful basil leaves
- 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
- Freshly milled black pepper to serve
Method:
Juice all the vegetables with the basil leaves, and then stir in the olive oil. Serve with a sprinkling of freshly milled black pepper, if liked.
