This Week We Have Been . . .
…Enjoying fabulously authentic Mexican food with lashings and lashings of premium tequila at the excellent Mestizo. The double shot of tequila they force upon anyone celebrating their birthday also adds for great viewing. Viva Mexico!
…Getting cosy at the Tate Modern to see the works of our favourite Norwegian artist at the Munch exhibition. Perfect Autumn day out – get there quick, it closes in two weeks!
…Wondering in amazement at Stanley Kubrick’s masterpiece 2001: A Space Odyssey, at another excellent screening from the BFI. The sci-fi classic looks even better on the big screen (complete with the original Intermission, Kubrick fact fans), not to mention its epic soundtrack…
…Dusting off our dinner jackets for Awards season and heading out to the Dorchester Hotel for the annual What Hi-Fi Awards. As well as enjoying the excellent company and glamorous surroundings, the night was made extra fun with stand-up comedy from Milton Jones, before deputy editor Simon Lucas and The One Show’s Alex Jones announced this year’s winners.
