This Week We Have Been. . .

… Shooting some B-Ball netball, outside of school! As part of NBG’s 25th anniversary celebrations, we thought a spot of mixed netball was in order. With the best Wing Attack and Goal Defence seen since the Olympics, the All-Star teams included Fever and Nelson Bostock players from past and present. The game was tight, but the Red team came out on top, thanks to the shooting skills of our Sophia!

… Feeling festive and ogling over the biggest real life gingerbread house we’ve ever seen. The gorgeous The Grove Spa and Hotel in Hertfordshire (home to our annual Toshiba product launch) is a festive delight this time of year – check it out here!

…Getting our groove on with Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons at the Prince Edward Theatre. With Christmas in sight it was time for a bi-annual theatre visit and this year, we were Beggin’ to see the acclaimed Jersey Boys. Despite arriving a little late and staggering around in the aisle of the auditorium, we settled down for two hours of music unknown to us (or so we thought – we’ve pretty much been playing Frankie Valli’s greatest hits non-stop this week!)  The music complimented the narrative well, and it’s nice to know the storyline was true and not written to integrate the artists songs (a la We Will Rock You and Mama Mia!). The cast played the role of Guido to another level (now we know where the Jersey Shore lot got their inspiration).  Overall a great timeless musical that we’d thoroughly recommend!

…Teeing off our client Christmas parties by heading down to Urban Golf in Soho. With the first snow falling and chilly winds preventing an actual outdoor round it was simulators for the team. Pros were on hand to teach us our drivers from irons, and Bogeys from Birdies and before we knew it we were playing a couple of holes on the virtual St Andrews course. It was clear from the first swing that golf isn’t suited to us all and we had a better chance at being caddies and keeping the pros fuelled with beer and food! There were two undisputed champions of the night – our lovely and Melissa and Tarek both have a mean swing (we won’t be getting on the wrong side of them!). Next year maybe we’ll do something a bit easier – mini golf anyone? Fore!

… dining out at Little House. One of the Soho House group’s latest openings, we finally got round to heading over to Mayfair to see what all the fuss is about. This members-only restaurant and bar lives up to its name and is a cosy and intimate space that’s perfect for a cocktail to soothe the mid-week blues. Also great for grub with the menu comprising Soho House staples such as Mac & Cheese, Cheeseburger and mouth-watering truffle-doused pizzas… as well as dishes like Dover Sole for those craving a bit of elegant eating.

And finally…

Kicking out the Christmas jams… Okay, so we’ve been listening to Christmas tunes since September – but now we’re only *checks advent calendar* 17 days away until the big day, it’s definitely acceptable! Check out our Christmas playlist below, and if you think anything is missing, let us know!
