This Week We Have Been . . .

Berners Tavern

…feasting at one of London’s hottest new restaurants, The Berners Tavern in The London Edition. A simply stunning setting with eye-wateringly high ceilings with sparkling chandeliers and walls covered in artwork – the service and food also lived up to expectations. Jason Atherton’s latest outpost, the menu was full of treats to choose from and the deconstructed version of ham, eggs and peas was one of our favs. We’d strongly recommend you get yourself a reservation for the New Year and treat yourself.

mulled

…spending a cosy Saturday evening in one of Camden’s best pubs, The Earl of Camden. The Winter warmer drink selection is spectacularly festive, with the menu ranging from traditional mulled ciders and wines, to more adventurous hot apple rums and chocolate orange cocktails. With tipples like this, we’d take Winter all year round!

Resogun

… saving the last humans with the amazing Resogun on PS4. Although it plays like an simple old school shooter, Resogun is fiendishly challenging, not to mention stunning to look at. What’s more, it’s completely free for PlayStation Plus subscribers – bargain!

Berlin

…visiting the Christmas markets in Berlin! It was rather chilly but the mulled wine and curry bratwurst certainly helped to warm us up!

IAWL 1

IAWL 2

… getting into the Christmas spirit with a private screening of ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’. Everyman Cinema brings a programme of some of cinema’s most beloved films and favourite Christmas classics to the rooms of the Royal Academy. We climbed the fabulous sweeping staircase and made ourselves comfortable in the beautifully dreamy bar with a few spiced mojitos. We then put on our headsets and watched the movie a la silent disco style. The programme runs until January so get yourselves down there for a classic like Gone With The Wind or a family favourite like Home Alone.

Benares 2

… heralding the start of Christmas party season with a slap up four course dinner at Mayfair restaurant Benares. The best Indian this side of the sub-continent, we were treated to an astounding array of tantalising dishes. We’re still full now. Seriously.

Craven Cottage

…watching the once mighty Fulham take on Tottenham Hotspur. Although the super whites lost 2-1, the performance was encouraging. Meulensteen has the players fighting again!
