This Week We Have Been . . .
…feeling the love at the Barbican – last Friday, on the most romantic day of the year, we were whisked off to the Barbican for an evening of love classics from a live orchestra. Music included Tchaikovsky’s Fantasy Overture from Romeo & Juliet and Ravel’s Bolero, which you may remember from Torvill and Dean’s winning performance in the Olympics. ‘twas magical!
…immersed in awards season! Swiftly following the BAFTAs on Sunday night, we were glued to our screens on Wednesday waiting to find out which of our favourite bands would be bagging themselves a Brit. The icing on the cake was a performance from none other than Feverite favourite – Queen Bey. Her AMAZING sparkly green Vrettos Vrettakos couture gown stole the show!
…eating out Italian style. We took a trip over to Bermondsey for a bite of freshly made pasta at the delicious Antico restaurant – but not without making a visit to its underground gin bar a floor below the restaurant, 214 Bermondsey. We recommend the Slow-Roasted Pork Shoulder Tortelloni or Slow-Cooked Shin-of-Beef Ragu Fazzoletti – to die for!
…brushing up on our algorithms to take on Rubik’s Revenge, the 4x4x4 Rubik’s Cube.
…playing our final 5-a-side league game of the season, against top-of-the-table Razorfish PR. A win would have resulted in a title triumph (and a whole separate blog post dedicated to the occasion!) Unfortunately, we drew 4-4 after going 4-0 down, so there was still plenty of positive to take from the game. Like Liverpool fans, we were left thinking that next year could be the year…
…and finally, pretty much playing Red Eyes by The War on Drugs non-stop all week.
